Police Dish Out 41 Tickets In Detail Near FDR Park

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- New York State Police set up a seatbelt checkpoint on the Taconic exit ramp at the FDR Park on Friday, according to New York State Police.

The safety detail was organized to aid mission of the State Police to reduce deaths and injuries caused by motor vehicle accidents through vehicle and traffic enforcement according to a police statement.

As a part of the Buckle Up NY program, officers issued 41 tickets for child restraint violations, six tickets for seatbelt violations, and two tickets for other violations.
