YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A Mohegan Lake teenager found himself on the wrong side of the law earlier this month after he was caught with several ounces of marijuana in Yorktown.
On Monday, Yorktown Police announced that shortly before 7 p.m. on Dec. 2, officers were alerted to a “suspicious vehicle” parked at Michael Robert Salon and Spa, where an investigation revealed that a 17-year-old was in possession of 3.67 ounces of marijuana in his BMW.
The suspect - whose name has not been released, due to his status of a youthful offender - was charged with a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. He was released on $100 bail and is due back in Yorktown Court on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
