A 30-year-old man was charged with violating an order of protection after police responded to a report of two overdoses at a home on Hitching Post Lane in Yorktown.

Robert Chirurgi was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor. He was arrested at the scene and transported to Hudson Valley Hospital Center for treatment. After being released from the hospital, he was transported to police headquarters for processing.

Bail was set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. Chirurgi was unable to post bail and was remanded to Westchester County Jail. He is due back in court on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m.

This is the second time Yorktown Police have arrested Chirurgi for violating an order of protection after responding to an overdose at Hitching Post Lane. A similar incident occurred in Jan. 2016.

In 2013, Chirurgi was charged with assault after police say he assaulted and injured a man outside of Finnegan's Bar and Grill. In 2015, Chirurgi was arrested and charged after police say he used someone's car without their permission.
