Earlier this month, officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to a Wood Street residence, where there were reports of a domestic incident, with a woman claiming that Honolulu, Hawaii resident Sean Grimes, 48, had violated a restraining order.

According to police, Grimes allegedly violated a Westchester County Family Court Temporary Order of Protection by emailing his victim 11 times over the course of several months.

Grimes voluntarily surrendered himself at Yorktown Police Headquarters on Wednesday, where he was charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal contempt. Following arraignment, Grimes was released on $1,000 bail. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court in February to answer the charge.
