YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A possibly sick coyote has been spotted in the area by a Springhurst Street resident, the Yorktown Police Department announced.
The sighting was reported to Yorktown police and its Animal Warden department after the resident saw what may have been a coyote with a surveillance system. Police are asking residents to keep their distance from sick animals and report any sighting to the department at 914-962-4141.
"Please note that coyotes, foxes and various other wildlife are numerous in our area, and unless one is sick or injured, no action will be taken," the announcement said.
