On Tuesday, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino Jr. announced that Aaron George has pleaded guilty to individual counts of murder and criminal possession of a weapon following a shooting that took the life of his victim.

Shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Sunday April 17 last year, George and co-defendant Michael Djukic traveled to an apartment complex on North Kensico Avenue in White Plains.

According to Scarpino, the two proceeded to wait in the vehicle until their victim approached. George then got out of the car, fired a handgun multiple times at him, striking his victim several times. George then returned to the car and Djukic allegedly sped off. Their victim was taken to the Westchester Medical Center and died in surgery.

George remains remanded to the Westchester County Jail. He is due back in court for sentencing on Wednesday, July 12, when he faces life in prison or a minimum sentence of 15 years. Djukic was arraigned last year on felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal facilitation, tampering with physical evidence and hindering prosecution. His case is still being tried.
