Sean Deleon, 21, hid in the attic of his East Main Street home when law enforcement officers arrived in June to arrest him for violating probation in another case, Yorktown police said.
When he was found, Deleon pounced on one of the officers and managed to run outside where he was confronted by the others, police said.
He continued to resist arrest, at one point trying to snatch a holstered pistol, but was eventually subdued and cuffed, police said.
Deleon is now charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony; resisting arrest, a misdemeanor; obstructing governmental administration, a misdemeanor; third-degree attempted assault, a misdemeanor; and second-degree harassment, a violation, police said.
He was arraigned and sent to Westchester County Jail with no bail.
