Shrub Oak Woman Faces DWI, Traffic Charges

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – A Shrub Oak woman is facing multiple charges after being stopped by police Sunday, Nov. 23.

Jacqueline K. McDonald, 46, has been charged by Yorktown police with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to maintain lane and driving with fewer than two brake lights.

Police officers responded to the area of 1611 Mogul Drive for a report of a driver leaving the scene of a property damage auto accident. The officers located the suspect’s vehicle, which was still in the area, police said. Officers followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, according to police.

Police say McDonald was driving erratically, left the scene of the accident and was operating a vehicle with fewer than two brake lights. Upon further investigation, the officers determined that McDonald was driving while intoxicated, police said. McDonald was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more, according to police.

McDonald was processed at the Yorktown police headquarters and released on her own recognizance to a responsible party. She is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 6 p.m.
