Somers Firefighter Injured In Large Brush Fire

SOMERS, N.Y. – A firefighter was injured during a large-scale attempt to squelch a blaze on Route 100 in Somers, News 12 Westchester reported.

Fire departments from seven municipalities battled the brush fire.

The firefighter, whose identity was not immediately released, was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital to be treated for exhaustion, according to News 12 Westchester.

Seven fire departments assisted in battling the 3-acre blaze.
