JEFFERSON VALLEY, N.Y. – An unknown white man in his 30s robbed TD Bank in Jefferson Valley on Monday afternoon while at least one customer and several employees were inside, Yorktown police said.

The man was wearing a tan baseball cap and dark colored Nautica jacket at the time of the robbery, police said.  Police described him as between 5’7 and 5’10 with a slim build.

No weapon was displayed and no one was injured during the robbery, a statement from police said.

The suspect passed a note to a bank teller around 4:52 p.m. that said he had a handgun and asked for money, according to Yorktown Police Lt. Richard Malan.

The teller gave the man an unspecified amount of cash, Malan said.

"He fled the scene on foot," Malan said.  "That’s all we have right now."

TD Bank, at 3660 Lee Blvd., was taped off Monday at about 5:45 p.m. while Yorktown Police and Westchester County Department of Public Safety Crime Scene and K-9 units were on scene.

The Yorktown Police Department Detective Division is conducting the investigation.
