Teen Damages Property, Charged With Criminal Mischief By Yorktown Police

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – A 17-year-old New York City male resident has been charged with criminal mischief after he damaged two interior wood doors and copper door trim inside the Phoenix House Academy on Tuesday, Nov. 11, Yorktown police report.

Police say they responded to the Phoenix House Academy to investigate a criminal mischief complaint that occurred at noon.

The teen was accused of damaging the property, valued at $700.

He was arraigned and held at the Westchester County Jail on $2,500 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m.
