YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown police charged three people with criminal possession of stolen property after an officer on patrol reported seeing a car that was linked to an earlier crime in the area.
When the officer stopped the suspected car Friday Sept. 11, he said the three were in possession of items that had been reported stolen from a residence on Country Place earlier that evening.
Angela Ball, 19 of Mahopac, Jason Van Dunk, 41 of Mohegan Lake, and Julia Sidden, 28 of Mohegan Lake, each were charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
Van Dunk also was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon after police allegedly found Alprazolam and a switchblade on him.
