Three Charged With Shoplifting At Yorktown Mall

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A 16-year-old Yorktown boy was charged with petty larceny on Oct. 24 for allegedly shoplifting from a store in the Jefferson Valley Mall, police said.

Brookstone reported to police that the suspect took $219.98 worth of merchandise from displays and left the store. Patrol Officer Timothy Kolkmann spotted a person who matched the description of the thief walking along East Main Street.

The suspect was taken into custody and processed at Yorktown police headquarters. He was released without bail and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Nov. 27 at 6 p.m.

In other blotter news:

  • Ana Peralta, 39, of Mount Kisco, was charged with petty larceny Thursday in connection with a shoplifting incident at Sears in the Jefferson Valley Mall, police said. Peralta was accused of leaving the store without paying for a shirt and scarf valued at $74. She was processed at police headquarters and released on $200 bail. She is scheduled to return to court on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m.
  • Antonio Lyons, 24, of Cortlandt Manor, was also charged with shoplifting from Sears in the mall, police said. Lyons was accused of leaving the store without paying for $99.99 in assorted merchandise. He was processed on petty larceny charges at headquarters and turned over to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, which had active bench warrant for his arrest, according to the police report. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m.
