The incident began around 3:35 a.m., when Bedford Police received a report that a stolen green Honda CRV out of Greenwich, Conn., was last seen traveling north North Street near the Connecticut/New York border, said Lt. Matthew T. Hawley.

Within a few minutes, Bedford Police saw the vehicle making a right turn from Greenwich Road onto Old Post Road and attempted to pull them over on Pound Ridge Road.  When they refused to stop, a chase continued into Pound Ridge and then onto Route 124 in Lewisboro, but the driver of the stolen vehicle still refused to stop, Hawley said.

The pursuit then reversed back to Bedford and as a result of driving off the roadway numerous times, the Honda’s right front tire blew out. The stolen vehicle was then stopped on Old Post Road near Fox Lane where three Hartford, Conn., teens were taken into custody at around 4:10 a.m., he added.

The 15-year-old driver and two passengers, a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old, were charged with criminal possession of stolen property, police said.

The 17-year-old was arraigned and transported to Westchester County Jail on $10,000 cash bail with a return date in Bedford Court on Wednesday. The two juveniles were transported to a juvenile detention facility in Valhalla with an expected Family Court appearance on Monday morning.
