Two Charged In Yorktown With Marijuana Possession

YORKTOWN, N. Y. -- Two 27-year-old men are facing marijuana possession charges after police found them with marijuana Sunday during a routine traffic stop in Yorktown, police said.

Jared A. Mick, of Somers, is charged with unlicensed operation of a vehicle, a misdemeanor, in addition to unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, police said. His driver's license had been revoked for failure to pay a fine, police said.

New York City resident Trevor Kranz, who was a passenger in the car, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Both men were given tickets directing them to report to Yorktown Justice Court at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 24, police said.

About 8 p.m. Sunday, police saw a car along Crompond Road with only one working headlight, police said. They discovered the marijuana and revoked license during the stop, police said.
