Two Charged In Yorktown With Possession Of Marijuana

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Two women were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and having an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle on May 30, according to the Yorktown Police Department.

Police officers were on patrol of the Yorktown Green parking lot when they observed Angela R. DiSanto, a 21-year-old Shenorock resident, and Janine M. Patierno, a 20-year-old Danbury, Conn., resident, in a vehicle with open containers of alcohol beverages, a traffic infraction, according to police.

After further investigation, officers determined that DiSanto and Patierno were also in possession of marijuana, a violation, police said.

Both women were placed under arrest, processed at the Yorktown Police Department, and issued tickets to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on July 2 at 6 p.m.
