YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A 19-year-old Mohegan Lake woman is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child in connection with a shoplifting case, according to Yorktown police.
Nicolette Casatelli was arrested at Sears at the Jefferson Valley Mall around 9:40 p.m. Saturday, police said.
She and an unidentified 15-year-old were accused by store personnel of trying to steal about $800 worth of clothing, police said.
Casatelli also was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, police said.
The younger teen was charged with juvenile delinquency and released into the custody of a parent, police said.
Casatelli was taken to police headquarters and later released in her own recognizance, police said. She is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court next month.
