YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A tree fell near the intersection of routes 132 and 202 in Yorktown Heights Friday morning but Yorktown Police said lanes were opened up to traffic Friday afternoon.
A large tree fell after 8 a.m. Friday, forcing road closures at the intersection near Mildred E. Strang Middle School and Veterans Memorial Field, Yorktown Police said. A tree removal truck was headed out to the scene at 11 a.m. and the tree was cleared in the afternoon, police said. Residents are advised to use alternative routes as police expect delays to continue through the afternoon but lanes are open.
