Verplanck Man, 56, Charged With Identity Theft

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks charged a Verplanck man with first-degree identity theft on Monday, Sept. 15, officials said.

State police received a report on Aug. 1 that someone had cashed a check for $4,492.83 that was made out to the victim. Subsequent investigation revealed Robert W. Kilichowski had allegedly signed the victim's name and deposited the check into his own account, police said. 

Kilichowski is due to return to Cortlandt Town Court on Monday, Sept. 29, police said.
