An employee at the group home reported to county police on Tuesday, Feb. 6, alleging that someone had smashed his car window while it was parked overnight on West Street.

Police said that the suspect made off with an iPhone, tools and other items, with the stolen property value estimated at approximately $1,400. The bottom of a golf club was found at the scene, investigators said, noting that it appeared the club was used to smash the vehicle’s front passenger-side window.

The incident is currently under investigation.
