Woman, 29, Faces Charges After Crash In Yorktown Heights

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A Jefferson Valley woman was busted with a suspended registration of her vehicle following a minor accident in Yorktown Heights.

Yorktown Police said Tuesday that Rachel Rossi, 29, is facing a misdemeanor charge following a brief investigation into an accident that took place on Monday.

According to police, shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon, they were dispatched to the area of Wood Street, following reports of a disabled vehicle. It was alleged that Rossi and another motorist were involved in an accident on East Main Street. During the investigation, responding officers determined that Rossi was driving a vehicle that had a suspended registration and was uninsured.

Rossi was charged with a misdemeanor count of driving with a suspended registration and issued a violation for having an uninsured vehicle. She was processed at the scene and released. Rossi is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, March 2.
