Woman Charged With Driving Twice The Legal Limit In Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – A 64-year-old Yonkers woman is being charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and aggravated DWI-blood alcohol content (BAC) more than .18 percent, Yorktown police said.

Yorktown police issued to aggravated DWIs on Oct. 13 and Oct. 14. Both defendants are scheduled for court on Nov. 14.

Police first observed Nancy Rosa in her 2009 Toyota Stuck in a ditch at the intersection of Route 129 and Underhille Ave on Sunday, Oct. 13. After further investigation, the officer determined Rosa was intoxicated. She was initially arrested for a DWI and taken to Yorktown police headquarters for processing.

Rosa was additionally charged with an aggravated DWI after it was discovered her BAC was more than twice the legal limit of .08 percent.

She is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m.
