Woman In Yorktown Accused Of Prostitution At Spa

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A Flushing women has been arrested and charged with prostitution, according to Yorktown Police. 

Xiang Dun Zhang, 28, of Flushing, was arrested and charged with prostitution following an investigation into "Pro-Happiness Spa" in the Brookside Plaza at 345 Kear St. in Yorktown Heights, police said in a release.

Xiang Dun Zhang, 28, was arrested on April 5 following an investigation into "Pro-Happiness Spa" in the Brookside Plaza at 345 Kear St. in Yorktown Heights, police said in a release.

A plain clothes officer conducted the investigation and concluded that Zhang and 36-year-old Lianhua Sun "accepted money to perform a massage; even though allegedly neither is licensed to be a masseuse," according to the release. In addition Zhang "offered to perform a sexual act in exchange for additional money," according to the release. 

Both women were arrested and later charged with practicing a profession without a license, a class E felony, police said. Zhang was also charged with class B prostitution, a misdemeanor, according to the police report.
