Woman Pulls Necklace Off Victim's Neck, Yorktown Police Say

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A 24-year-old Yorktown woman was arrested and charged after police say she damaged a $175 gold necklace by pulling it off someone's neck.

Bernadetta Nokaj was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a Class A Misdemeanor Saturday after police investigated a prior domestic incident.

Nokaj was arrested at the scene and transported to police for processing. She is currently being held pending arraignment.

She was previously arrested for allegedly stealing $432 in clothes from Sears and for failing to pay a fine.
