Woman Threatens To Shoot Victim With Fake Pistol, Yorktown Police Say

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A 28-year-old woman was arrested in Yorktown over the weekend after allegedly pointing an imitation pistol and threatening to shoot her victim during an argument.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, officers at the Yorktown Police Department received a complaint involving a handgun, prompting an investigation by law enforcement.


According to police, following the investigation, it was determined that Yorktown resident Katherine Mackay pointed an imitation pistol at her victim, threatening to shoot him. She was contacted by officers and voluntarily turned herself into custody at Yorktown Police Headquarters.

Mackay was processed and charged with misdemeanor counts of second-degree menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. A temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim and bail was set at $500 cash or $1,000 bail, which was posted. Mackay is due back in Yorktown Court on Tuesday, April 11.
