YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Two K-Mart employees are facing misdemeanor petty larceny charges after they were accused of stealing a BB gun from the store, police said.
Umar Chaudhary, 20, of Yorktown, and Stephen Agosto, 19, of Croton-on-Hudson, were arrested around 9 p.m., Aug. 31, after police saw two men hiding the gun in a bush outside the store. Police watched surveillance tapes, which showed Chaudhary and Agosto leaving K-Mart with the $43 gun at 8:37 p.m.
The two were processed on the petty larceny charges at Yorktown Justice Court. Agosto was released on $200 bail and Chaudhary was released without bail. They are scheduled to return to court on Oct. 2.

- Jose Guerra, 28, of Garrison, was charged Saturday with misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle. He was accused of driving with a suspended license. Police pulled Guerra over after observing him speed out of the East Main Street Shell Station parking lot “in an erratic manner.” Guerra was arrested processed at Yorktown Justice Court and released on $200 bail.
- Two Yorktown Heights men were arrested around 11 p.m. on Aug. 29 and accusd of drinking beer while walking around the track at Jack DeVito Field. The men, one 47, the other 41, were charged with possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a public place. The 41-year-old man refused to provide information to the officers and was processed at Justice Court and will return on Sept. 11. The 47-year-old man was issued a ticket and will appear in court on Oct. 2.
