Covino, 55, was stopped at approximately 4:27 p.m. by State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks. Covino was discovered to be intoxicated following a traffic stop after troopers observed him speding on the Taconic State Parkway, police said.
Covino also was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Covino provided a positive breath sample which yielded a Blood Alcohol Content of .08% and was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets and an Appearance Ticket ordering him to appear before the Town of Milan Justice Court on December 19, 2013.
