Police say an officer was on routine patrol on Route 202 in the vicinity of the Taconic State Parkway when he observed a vehicle exit the parkway and swerve on the roadway.

The officer pulled the vehicle over and after an investigation, arrested Dinsmore on a driving while intoxicated charge, police said. Later, a breath test determined his blood alcohol content was 0.18 percent or higher, which is more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent, leading to the aggravated driving while intoxicated charge, police said.

Dinsmore was processed at Yorktown police headquarters and released to a friend on no bail. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Jan. 20.
