Police said an officer was dispatched to a domestic incident. Following an investigation by the officer, Okipi was accused of removing property from a residence, without having permission from the owner, and refusing to return the property to the owner, according to police.
Okipi voluntarily went to the Yorktown Police Department where he was arrested on the charge. Following processing on the charge, Okipi was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court and released after posting $250 bail. Okipi is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 12 at 6 p.m.
