YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. Stephen P. Croston, a 25-year-old Yorktown resident, has been charged with third-degree assault after he was accused of attacking a female in a domestic dispute on Friday, Dec. 19, according to Yorktown police.
Police said they responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Police investigated and alleged that Croston had an argument with a female and allegedly assaulted her. Officers placed Croston under arrest for the alleged assault, police said.
Croston was brought to police headquarters, then processed and arraigned by a judge who issued an order of protection for the woman and held him on $2,500 bail. Croston was unable to post bail and was turned over to Westchester County Department of Correction.
