YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Kevin C. Corcoran, a 46-year-old Yorktown resident, has been charged with driving while intoxicated by Yorktown police, who said he had a 5-year-old in his car when he was stopped on Monday, Oct. 24.

Police say they received an anonymous call about a possible intoxicated male operating a red Nissan Sentra in the area of Burger King on Downing Drive. Police say they were dispatched to the scne and while in route to the location, they observed a vehicle matching the description traveling west-bound on Crompond Road. The vehicle was stopped and the operator was identified as Corcoran. An investigation at the scene revealed that Corcoran allegedly operated the vehicle while intoxicated with a 5-year-old child passenger in the vehicle, according to police.

Corcoran was arrested and transported to police headquarters. Following processing, Corcoran was arraigned and then released on his own recognizance to a responsible adult. Corcoran is scheduled to answer the charge on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m.
