Yorktown Man Charged With Marijuana, Mushroom Possession

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Yorktown Heights man was arrested and charged with third-degree possession of marijuana and mushrooms Saturday after a traffic stop in Nyack, state police said.

Anthony D. Todd, 22, was pulled over on the New York State Thruway on March 30, police said. After the stop, a probable cause search of his vehicle revealed he was in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and about 24 grams of psilocybin (mushrooms), according to a press release from New York State Police

Todd was charged with third-degree felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and was arraigned before Village of Nyack Court Justice Robert Knoebel. Todd was then sent to the Rockland County jail on $1,500 bond and was set to reappear at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, according to the statement.
