Yorktown Man Faces Drug Possession, Larceny Charges

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Anthony T. Caldararo Jr., a 29-year-old Yorktown resident, was arrested and charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance on Friday, Oct. 17.

Police say they were advised by Sears security of a larceny suspect who fled the area in a black vehicle. One officer was assigned to investigate the Sears, and two others were assigned to check the area for the suspect.

Police located and stopped the suspect on Delaware Road. After an investigation at the scene, the defendant was charged with the petit larceny and possessing a quantity of heroin and prescription medications.

Caldararo was processed at police headquarters and released on $250 to a parent. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m. for arraignment.
