Yorktown Man Hit By Car, Killed While Walking Dog

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A Yorktown man was pronounced dead Thursday night after he was hit by a car near 2897 Farm Walk Road, police said.

Randy Zapakin, 57, was reportedly out walking his dog at 8:15 p.m. when he was hit by a car driven by an 18-year-old Yorktown resident. Zapakin was pronounced dead at the scene by Yorktown Paramedics, police said.

The Yorktown Police Department's Accident Investigation Team and Detective Division are currently investigating the accident.
