Yorktown Man Possesses Controlled Substances While Driving, Police Say

YORKTOWN, N.Y.-- A traffic infraction led to the arrest of a 33-year-old Yorktown man after police found him in possession of Suboxone and Alprazolam Saturday.

Joseph Stingone was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a Class A misdemeanor.

Police said they initially pulled him over after they observed him crossing a double yellow line. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on July 25.

Police did not say where the incident occurred.
