An employee at the Crompond Road bar where Curtis Delano went after allegedly setting the fire called police, the story said. As other Yorktown officers were responding to the fire at 2512 Garden Lane, another officer went to AJ’s Bar & Grill and brought Delano, 54, in for questioning, the story said.

The case is still being investigated, Yorktown police told The Daily Voice.

Lake Mohegan firefighters and Yorktown police responded Monday afternoon to the fire and found Delano’s mother safely outside the home they shared, the story said.
