YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police report the arrest of a 14-year-old Jefferson Valley resident, whose name is being withheld due to his age, on a charge of juvenile delinquency, with an underlying charge of third-degree attempted assault.
On Dec. 10 at about 1:15 p.m., the school resource officer at Lakeland High School was advised of an altercation inside the school cafeteria, according to officials.
Following an investigation, it was alleged that the 14-year-old male attempted to cause physical injury to the victim by repeatedly punching him, police report.
The suspect was arrested on Tuesday and issued a juvenile appearance ticket directing him to appear at the department of probation on Tuesday, Jan. 5, officials report.
