WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - A salesman from Peekskill is facing charges for allegedly soliciting door-to-door without a proper license in Yorktown.

On Thursday, police in Yorktown announced the arrest of 37-year-old Terrence Smith, who is facing a charge of peddling or soliciting without a license, which is a town code violation.

According to police, on Monday, Feb. 27, officers in Yorktown responded to a Glen Road residence following a complaint from a homeowner in the neighborhood. The subsequent investigation would determine that Smith was allegedly soliciting door-to-door sales without a proper Town of Yorktown Peddler’s License.

Smith was issued an appearance ticketed and released on his own recognizance. He is due in Yorktown Justice on Tuesday, March 28
