Yorktown Police Charge Man, 29, With Driving Without Interlock Device

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Jesse Suggs, a 29-year-old Mahopac resident, has been arrested and charged with driving without an interlock device, an unclassified misdemeanor and operating an unregistered vehicle on Friday, Feb. 27, according to Yorktown police.

Police said an officer was on routine patrol when he observed Suggs’ red pickup truck being operated on Route 6 with an expired temporary registration. A traffic stop was conducted and Suggs was identified as the operator, police said. The officer conducted a routine check of his license which revealed that Suggs was operating a vehicle without an interlock device which was indicated as a current restriction on his license, police said.

Suggs was placed under arrested and transported to police headquarters for processing, according to police. Following processing, he was issued uniform traffic citations on the above charges and was released on $240 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, March 26 at 6 p.m.
