Yorktown Resident Charged With Assault After Bar Fight

YORKTOWN, N. Y. -- A 43-year-old Yorktown man is facing an assault charge after Yorktown police connected him to an April 24 fight at AJ's Bar and Grill on Crompond Road in which another person was injured, police said.

Brian J. Amico is charged with misdemeanor third-degree assault, police said. He's also been ordered by a judge to stay away from the victim and witnesses, police said.

Police said they got the call at around 7 p.m. April 24, to investigate the fight at the bar, but by then the fight was over. Officers found the man near an abandoned building down the road from the bar, police said.

Police said the victim told police that the man caused cuts and bruises to his left wrist and right elbow during the dispute. 

Police said the suspect was arraigned by a Cortlandt judge while in the hospital on an unrelated medical condition. He's due back in Yorktown Court at 6 p.m., May 26, police said.
