Alexis N. Mitchell, 20, was arrested in the parking lot of the TJ Maxx store in Yorktown Heights on Tuesday, Feb. 2, police said.

The arresting officers seized 563 glassine envelopes of heroin, with an estimated street value of close to $7,000, from Mitchell, police said.

Later that day, police raided Mitchell’s home on Halyan Road and found another 91 glassine envelopes of heroin and $30,223 in cash, authorities said.

Four other suspects were arrested at the residence, but police are withholding their names at the present time.

Mitchell now faces three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; one count of third-degree possession of a controlled substance; and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, all felonies, police said.

The investigation of drug sales in northern Westchester and southern Putnam was launched in December and involved local police, the Northern Westchester Drug Task Force, the Westchester County Department of Public Safety, and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

Mitchell was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail when she didn’t make the $5,000 bail, police said.

She is to appear in court on Thursday, Feb. 4, police said.
