Yorktown Teen Accused Of Violating Order Of Protection

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – A 17-year-old Mohegan Lake resident was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a misdemeanor, after police said she violated an order of protection.

Two Yorktown police officers were dispatched to Strawberry Road about 9:24 a.m. Thursday on a report of a domestic dispute. Officers were told that the teenage girl was harassing a Strawberry Road resident and was in violation of a temporary order of protection, according to the report.

The girl was arrested outside Lakeland High School at 10:43 a.m. and taken to police headquarters, where she was processed and arraigned on the misdemeanor charge. She was released without bail and is due back in court on Feb. 5.

In other blotter news:

Loitering in the park: Three Yorktown teenagers were arrested Jan. 21 and charged with a Town Code violation of loitering in the park after dark. A 19-year-old male, a 19-year-old female and a 17-year-old female were loitering in Junior Lake Park around 5:38 p.m., police said. The 17-year-old driver was given an additional violation charging he parked in a handicap space. They were all released without bail and are due back in court Feb. 28.

Criminal contempt: Lorraine Lucca, 46, of Shrub Oak, was charged Jan. 22 with criminal contempt in the second degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree, both misdemeanors. Police received a complaint earlier in the day from a man who said Lucca had contacted him and was in violation of an order of protection, according to the report. She was processed at police headquarters and released without bail. She is due back in court Tuesday.

Criminal mischief: An 18-year-old resident of the Phoenix Academy was charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief Wednesday after he kicked a door and caused $55 in damage, Yorktown police said. The Queens teen was processed at police headquarters and remanded to Westchester County Jail on $750 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 5.
