The teen was charged with Attempted Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, a Class B misdemeanor. Police say he placed his arms and hands around a victim's throat, attempting to impede breathing.
He was arrested at the scene and transported back for processing. He was released on his recognizance and is due back in court on June 22. A temporary order of protection was also issued.
