Yorktown Teen Charged With DWI

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. - A Yorktown teenager was pulled over and charged with driving while intoxicated last Wednesday, police said.

Kateryna Szewczyk, 19, was pulled over on Downing Drive at 2:45 a.m. by Police Officer Anthony DiPietrantonio after failing to signal while turning, police said. According to the report, Szewczyk then took a breath test and had a blood alcohol content of more than .08.

Szewczyk was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and given a traffic violation for failing to signal. She was processed at Yorktown Justice Court and is set to return on Sept. 25.
