YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- An 18-year-old Yorktown resident was charged with driving while intoxicated early Thursday, March 24, police said.
The teen, whose name was being withheld due to possible youthful offender status, was arrested around 2:16 a.m. at The Legacy Ballfield on Strang Boulevard, police said.
He was originally approached by police officers for having an obstructed driver's view, a violation, police said.
The teen was also charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; and refusal to submit to a preliminary breath test, a violation, police said.
He was ticketed and released in the custody of a responsible party, police said.
He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, April 7.
