Yorktown Teen Charged With Forged License, Marijuana Possession

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- While on routine patrol a Yorktown police officer found an 18-year-old woman in a car near Lakeland High School with marijuana and a forged driver's license, police said.

The suspect was released in to the custody of a parent and is due to return in court on Nov. 10.

Late in the evening of Oct. 6, the officer saw a car parked in near the high school and upon investigating he found a young woman inside the car. Police are withholding her name due to her age.

During the course of investigating police found a quantity of marijuana in the car and determined that the teen had a forged driver's license.

Police charged her with possession of marijuana and third degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. 

She was released in to the custody of a parent and is due to return in court on Nov. 10.
