The 18-year-old is not being named by police because of eligibility as a youth offender, police said. About 8 p.m. Thursday, police stopped the youth's car after police said it did not stop at a stop sign along Mountain Brook Road.

After an investigation, police found 33.06 grams of marijuana in the car. The youth is facing a charge of fifth-degree possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and was released to a parent after posting $100 bond.

He's due in Yorktown Justice Court for a 6 p.m. hearing on March 3, police said.
