YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Yorktown teen was arrested June 5 after he was caught operating an uninsured, unregistered ATV at Junior Lake Park, police said.

According to Yorktown police, the department received complaints of the teen operating the ATV at the park. When officers arrived, they said they observed the teen driving the black ATV in the park and onto Friends Road. After being stopped, it was revealed the teen did not have a valid registration or insurance, police said.

The teen was issued an appearance ticket and released.

In other news, Yorktown police also arrested a 41-year-old White Plains man for allegedly operating a car without a front license plate and for driving without a license.

Carmen Triggs, was stopped June 11 driving a black Honda westbound on Route 6 for not having a front license plate, police said. A computer check revealed Triggs' New York driver's license was suspended, police said.

Triggs was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and released on $100 bail. He is due to appear in court July 12.
