The bill, A.2651, has currently been referred to the Codes Committee for future consideration. "I am proud to continue to lead the fight to restore our Second Amendment rights which have been so callously eroded by the governor," Katz said.

"This law continues to negatively impact our hunting community and our state budget. The law was hastily passed, and we're continuing to feel the negative repercussions of it. The only way to fix this problem is to start over and actually handle the issues that lead to violence in our community. We must address the root causes of violence and not the tools of violence. Only a poor craftsman blames their tools."
