PATTERSON, N.Y. — Andrew Falk, the Democratic candidate for the New York State Assembly 94th District, has earned the endorsement of the Westchester County Police Benevolent Association.
Falk received the group's endorsement June 6.
“After reviewing your position on matters of great importance to our membership, we have concluded that your commitment to the law enforcement community is of tremendous importance to the people you look to serve, the people of Westchester and Putnam counties," association president Mike Hagan said in his endorsement.
"We are confident that you will be a fair, honest and effective legislator and a friend to the Westchester County Police PBA."
Falk, an attorney and Patterson resident, is challenging incumbent Republican Steve Katz of Yorktown. Falk said he was happy to pick up his first endorsement from the law enforcement group.
"I'm proud of the hard work and dedication of all the men and women in law enforcement and have the greatest respect for the jobs that they do to serve all of us," Falk said.
The 94th Assembly District includes Carmel, Patterson, Putnam Valley and Southeast in Putnam County and Somers and Yorktown in Westchester County.
